The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) begen mailing out the notification letters concerning individual results of the first phase of ticket sales on Monday.
BEIJING, Aug.29 -- The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) begen mailing out the notification letters concerning individual results of the first phase of ticket sales on Monday.
Every person who successfully submitted a ticket application will soon receive a letter informing them of their ticket purchase results.
The Beijing Olympic Ticketing Center received 720,000 applications requesting 5.18 million tickets across the Chinese mainland.
Over 300,000 people across the Chinese mainland managed to successfully reserve 1,593,345 tickets to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
The ticketing center stressed that as long as an applicant successfully submitted a ticket application, that individual will receive a letter, either by post or e-mail, with his/her individual ticket purchase results, and if applicable, his/her ticket lottery results.
Phase I ticket applicants should check their mailboxes and inboxes for the notification letter in the near future. BOCOG will begin deducting the payments for the ticket purchases in mid-September. Forfeited tickets will be sold during Phase II of ticket sales, which will begin in October.
